After the Jerez test the guys managed to get some answers for the press also.
Filippo Preziosi took an interview for theracingtribune.it/ in which at least he revealed what kind of engine they will use for GP12 this season. It seems that so far this is a certain strong element of the bike, Karel Abraham stating some days ago about 260 Hp and a max. speed of 360 kmh.
"With the GP11 we needed a radical change but there was no time for this we tried to improve the mid corner behaviour of the bike but then, on straight the back of the bike was starting to pump up when full gas open."
"The major changes from last year relay to the mass distribution, the revisited geometry of the frame and the repositioning of the engine in the chassis. The tank has been redesigned, also the saddle support as we are convinced that the V 90 is great choice, unless there won't be any new rules which would penalize this configuration "
The engine is perfectly balanced there was no need of using additional components to reduce vibrations. The power and torque are at the highest levels by fully benefiting of the V straight.
The main goal now is to research new components to make the bike more easy to ride, the rest will be easy to manage then.
We won the Moto GP with a 90° V angle, same objective achieved also by Yamaha with an in line 4 and also Honda with a 72°angle V4. The difference is only made by the way the bike can be ridden and how the masses are distributed. Our engine will be a big-bang which for we built a special new airbox that now will set the power at same levels as the screamer did"
